The book "The Art of Expressing the Human Body" by John Little has all of Bruce Lee's training routines. What surprised me is that, other than
his martial arts practice, he trained mainly with weights. He was a skinny martial artist and first built up his body with the usual 3 x week 8-12 reps of
bench press, squats, etc. He read all the muscle mags but Ironman was his favourite. He also found of Bob Hoffman's books useful. He felt that he had to be
powerful and weights were the way as fighting techniques were not enough.
He also did some expander work, running and isometrics on his days off. He did a lot of forearm work and often curled a dumbell while watching TV or even while reading! He had a Marcy multi-station weight machine shipped to him in Hong Kong. He used this or weights doing as many reps as he could do in one minute and moved circuit training style to the next exercise with no rest between. In the book are his routines, reps and poundages.
