Years ago I destroyed my shoulders by doing behind-the-neck presses. This was back before the Internet and the sharing of knowledge. I had since learned that is an exercise that shouldn't be done. My left shoulder eventually healed and it is just fine, but I've always had problems with my right shoulder ever since then. It always feels like it's a bit out of joint, it pops and clicks, and it has always felt a bit uncomfortable. Over the years it's just been a minor annoyance.
But recently it was getting worse. A week ago I had to stop doing pushups when my shoulder became to painful. I went on the Internet and researched my condition and found a number of exercises on Youtube to help cure my shoulder. One of them is the "Egyptian" which I have been aware of for years, and I found a couple of others that relieve my pain. I selected only exercises that you can do from a standing position. I don't want to have to lie down or use an expanse of wall. Another cure I learned of is to do alternating dumbbell presses with light weights.
For the last week I've been doing these exercise several times a day, with the exception of the presses, which I do during my upper body workouts, and my shoulder seems to be getting better. It's back to being a minor annoyance. I'm not putting any hope into this, but if these exercises actually cure my shoulder, I'll be very happy.
