"Some of us read all about the Vietnam disaster and the sickening use of child soldiers and bombbabies."
It wasn't a disaster for a few PTB's. They profitted immensely from the jack-up, and millions of deaths.
I never heard of VC or NVA using child-soldiers, from my work-mates who came back. What they did tell me was whenever there was an American patrol in the area (and you could hear them a long way away, and smell their after-shave in the wind) the Kiwi's used to make themselves scarce, because they knew it was only a matter of time before the patrol came under fire.

Right or wrong it is what it is.
So even though you know from the above link that war is just a racket designed to line the pockets of the Big Boys, and that Vietnam was a shining example of that, you still advocate strong and violent action, including waterboarding and nuclear bombs against people which would probably include a large number of non-combatants, including children.
When and where did you yourself serve in the armed forces ?

Yeah, I understood that the first time a Navy guy told me how much the USS LittleRock cost to build. I forget know. I was 11-12.
Macky , lets see. 77 Million in Iran alone. Most will be considered non combatant. Same in the US, Same everywhere. I wonder how you feel about the children that have died as a result of terror attacks ? I think you believe that if we just leave all together. If we just find another source for oil. It would end all together. It will not. What happens when they don't have buyers for their oil ? If you think it is bad now wait until their is no money or jobs there. Lucky for them we don't have a viable option.
No. I was denied entry into the Marines. The Navy and The Army. When I was 21. I was essentially banned. Later at 27-28 I was offered entry but did not like the contract so turned down the offer.
Do I seek and want death. Especially those of children and innocent . No. But if I am asked to choose between US or others waging war. I support the actions of immediate and violent engagement. Nuclear saves lives.

Most of have heard of this and long forgot. At present its a pipedream. But one a dumb fuck dyslexic saw future in. One that later was wrapped in massive conspiracy and accusations DuPont shut it down. I suggest Randolph Hearst. You see this threatened his forest industry. But that a conspiracy. Lets get down to facts.
HEMP. A resource with massive returns and it is renewable.
Now why was Henry shut down ? WW2 needed hemp for rope. We simply did not have a viable alternative at the time. Plastics were in their infancy.
Later, perhaps People like Hearst so a massive threat to his forest industry, wait I thought he sold papers ? Yes, he sold paper. I would suggest DuPont would have wanted in on the plastic and chemical potential of hemp myself. And then lets not forget the Texas oil men and what they stood to loose. Or the newly developing petro-medications rolling out. Aspirin anyone ? Wait side bar. Heroin is more effect for pain. Less so for inflammation. Each incredible in their own light. Both equally fatal more or less. One gets you high the other does not. Combined their total deaths counts each years is still less than half that of alcohol. Medicinal in itself by the way. Actually that's incorrect because I am using the medically approved version of heroin aka Vicodin and similar. I suppose if we added actual heroin to the numbers it may in fact be half the related deaths caused by combine as compared to alcohol. Well that's keeping America safe after all.
Onward to the future. One glaringly obvious question we have to ask is do we have enough land to grow hemp to achieve a renewable source of energy that would reliably fuel our transportation needs world wide ? Second question as raised in one of the above posts is , how would that impact the Middle East economy ? Important considerations and major reasons for Che and his good buddy Fidel ruining what the people want back now. Fuck , we could have just nuked them. We did develop high fructose corn syrup after all. It is about identical and way more cost effective. Sorry Fidel, we don't need your fucking sugar ! Huh , Havana crumbles from lack of economy. Its WAR stupid.
Could the Middle Eastern Desert actually be irrigated and enriched to support mass scale hemp growing ? A potential savoir for them as well. But I do not know and would have to ask or search those that understand horticulture better than I do which is basically I don't know shit about it.
I believe it could be up and running if in fact it is a viable potential in a about a decades time. There is very little retooling involved. Existing technologies could be refitted. As it grows we would reach a point where fossil fuel would be supplemental and or no longer needed for transport perio except for times of say emergency. It could be utilized for other technologies.
Canadian shale oil may at that point be cost effective as it is being used for something other than transport fuel. Cha ching. That's the name of the game. Right now its is a worthless option.
Now the real financial magic here is the side that gets you high. Funding the way. It was never ever not understood marijuana has the massive potential as a cash crop. And look .
It is working. There has been some complaint that the ED rooms have a bit of an upturn as some really excited users smoked to much and felt uncomfortable. Weve all been there and I suggest a clinic or 2 specifically for marijuana related uncomfortableness.
Oh shit the fucking New York Times again. I did mention else where I am pro New Amsterdam.http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2015/08/25/upstate-new-york-secede/32359423/
NYC is a fucking nightmare to the rest of New York ! Nice place to visit sometimes. Loads of hot chicks too.
Now lets not forgot the other potential products and the manufacturing of them that could be derived from hemp and marijuana. It is a long, long list of potentials.
It may just have the fossil fuel industry potential and make us rich very fast. We must weigh the could and bad and be critically objective and use comparative risk to benefits analysis as with say again, alcohol.
Bong hit anyone ?
